Platelet Rich Plasma applied prior to closure of anterior cervical fusion C5-6. 


Meet Carol RN, MSN and medical surgical nurse.  Carol became aware of PRP as one of my nursing instructors at HSU and after caring for many patients post operatively on the floor at the hospital.  When she had to have surgery (anterior cervical fusion C5-6) she requested platelet rich plasma be applied intraoperatively.   

Carol 3 days post operation.  Carol is pain free with the exception of mild muscle soreness in her left trapezius muscle.
